Self-Evaluation Questionnaires Available

The Teacher and Pupil Self-Evaluation questionnaires will be made available online at this website. They will be accessed from the left-hand menu of the home pages (and several other pages). Completing them and submitting your responses will help future research. The Teacher Self-Evaluation questionnaire will help all teachers to evaluate how they conduct classes. The Pupil Self-Evaluation questionnaire enable pupils and students to check their experiences in classes and lectures. Not all behaviours described in the questionnaires are abusive, but some are.

The questionnaires are temporarily not available while the website has been moved and is being rebuilt due to earlier hacker activity. The new website should be much more resilient against hacking.

Emotional Abuse in the Classroom and Workplace

Congratulations on reaching the website devoted initially to discussing and exploring emotional abuse in the classroom. In 2017 it will be expanded to include emotional abuse in the workplace.

Emotional abuse is widespread, and its effects can be long-lasting and severe. There is research indicating that more than 50% of the population have experienced it at some stage in their educational career. This website accompanies the book Emotional Abuse in the Classroom published initially in 2012. It is expected that new editions will be published either every 4-5 years or so, or if there is substantial new material available to warrant a new edition.

Read the other articles at this website. You are encouraged to register and take the survey, or write in with your own observations and experiences. We want to hear about things that have made your school experience very positive, and those that you prefer had not happened.

  • Workplace emotional abuse surveys and forum - due late 2013/early 2014

Classroom Emotional Abuse Surveys

Registered users of this site can also access surveys about classroom experiences. These may be very positive experiences, or they may be unpleasant experiences which may or may not constitute abuse.

In any event, we would very much like to hear about your experiences to know what produces very positive experiences and memories, and what produces negative memories and experiences.

Classroom Emotional Abuse Discussion Forum

The topics covered by this website and its associated book are difficult and complex subjects for which there is some related research, but much more is needed.

There is a great variety of views about the topics covered, including some diametrically opposite opinions, beliefs and practices. It is a brave person who can say they are right and others who have a different viewpoint are wrong. The discussion forum is available to enable people to express their views on a variety of topics.

Workplace emotional abuse surveys and forum

This website does not yet have material developed for workplace emotional abuse. It is a major problem in the workplace, and topics will be introduced around late 2013/early 2014. You are welcome to contribute your views.
